Cowboys Beg Roger Goodell to Switch Bye Week After Realizing They Can't Go to Taylor Swift Concert

ARLINGTON, TX—In a comically awkward turn of events, the entire Cowboys roster is reportedly pleading with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to reschedule their bye week after realizing they bought tickets to a highly anticipated Taylor Swift concert in New Orleans on the same weekend they’re scheduled to play at the San Francisco 49ers.

“I can't believe we didn’t check the schedule,” lamented quarterback Dak Prescott, holding up his non-refundable, overpriced ticket. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see Taylor Swift in my home state of Louisiana.”

Players are reportedly devastated at the thought of missing the concert and the hassle of reselling their tickets while likely getting hit with high fees in the process.

Sources say the team has drafted a formal request pleading with Goodell to “please, for the love of football and pop music,” swap their bye week so they can attend the concert without forfeiting their game checks.

At press time, Goodell suggested the players just go to the Taylor Swift concert the weekend before in Miami, which is the weekend of the Cowboys already scheduled week seven bye. Players are pushing back though, insisting the drive to New Orleans from Dallas is a more manageable eight hours, as opposed to driving twenty hours to the Miami show.
