Dak Prescott Admits: "I Mostly Play Football for the Paycheck, Wouldn’t Mind a New Career"

DALLAS—In a refreshingly candid interview, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott confessed he doesn’t mind playing football but is mostly in it for the paycheck. “Look, being a starting quarterback pays really well,” Prescott said with a grin. “But honestly, I wouldn’t mind trying something new.”

Prescott revealed he’s considering a career change but isn’t sure what he wants to do. “I have a degree in Information Systems from Mississippi State,” he explained. “But I’m not exactly sure what jobs that leads to. I just thought it sounded cool at the time.”

Reporters were amused by Prescott’s honesty. “I mean, football’s fun and all, the guys are nice,” he added, “but exploring a new career would be interesting. Maybe something tech-related? I don’t know, just like a regular job where there’s no training camp and you don’t have to work on weekends and holidays.”

At press time, Dak was seen updating his LinkedIn while being visibly concerned his recent work experience won’t translate to other industries, unless they also involve throwing a ball.

“Without relevant experience, and a killer cover letter I’m not going to get any interviews, let alone a decent paying job,” Prescott was heard mumbling.
