DALLAS—Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has revealed the best part of living in Dallas, and it’s not the football or BBQ — it's the annual sighting of Big Tex at the State Fair of Texas.
“There’s just something magical about a 55-foot tall cowboy,” Prescott gushed. “Every year, I count down the days until I can stand beneath Big Tex and feel truly dwarfed by his magnificence.”
Prescott’s teammates were initially baffled by his obsession. “We thought he’d say the fans or the nightlife,” said linebacker Micah Parsons. “But nope, it’s all about Big Tex for Dak.”
Prescott has even started a tradition of secretly taking a selfie with Big Tex each year when no one is looking. “It’s like my own personal MVS, Most Valuable Selfie,” he said, beaming.
Prescott has reportedly begun lobbying team owner Jerry Jones for a life-sized Big Tex replica in front of AT&T Stadium for “inspiration and morale-boosting.”
