NASHVILLE—Newly traded running back Tony Pollard expressed nostalgia at a recent Titans press conference that he longs for his former Dallas Cowboys teammates, confessing he mistook the Titans' mascot for star running back Ezekiel Elliott during a team scrimmage.
"I saw this guy with a big head and thought, 'There's Zeke!' but then I remembered I'm not in Dallas anymore," Pollard chuckled, referencing his bond with Elliott on and off the field.
Sources close to Pollard revealed he's been struggling to adjust to life without the Cowboys' famed offensive line and Jerry Jones' pregame pep talks. "I miss the banter in the locker room and Dak's pre-snap audibles," Pollard lamented while attempting to decipher Titans' quarterback Will Levis’ signals.
Despite the mix-up, Pollard remains optimistic about his future with the Titans, especially after realizing their mascot isn't contractually obligated to mimic feeding himself after every first down, a Zeke trait that long annoyed Pollard.
